Specializing in culinary classics while providing a haven among
bluebirds and oak trees, Orchard Lake Bed and Breakfast is where southern hospitality meets class.

The Perfect Getaway
Nestled in the quiet hills of Southeast Missouri, mid-way between St. Louis and Memphis, is a little slice of heaven called "Orchard Lake Estate Bed and Breakfast," operating since 1993.
With special attention to detail and personal comfort, proprietor Lynda Lovins provides a home away from home (without the mother-in-law) that is second to none.
Dining on the second story deck, guests are treated to a full view of the estate's stocked lake, fully accessible for fishing or hiking excursions.
Three guest rooms are offered at Orchard Lake. High speed Internet is also available and the common room offers a VCR and DVD player. A treadmill is at guest disposal to work off those tasty ample breakfasts of Eggs Benedict with Hollandaise sauce, and fried apple-stuffed French toast and sausage. Or, for guests with a lighter appetite, yogurt, juice and freshly-ground coffe are on hand. Choices of any combination are available.
Honeymooners are welcome at Orchard Lake and a private downstairs entry is available for late arrivals. A turned-down bed, snacks and a champagne toast await the newlyweds and fresh-cut flowers and candlelight add to the romantic aura.
Departing from romance, Orchard Lake is the perfect haven for duck hunters who patron Southeast Missouri to lodge. On their quest for the day's quota, hunters are invited to take their homemade cinnamon rolls and coffee to the duck blind in the wee hours, or to settle in for a hot brunch upon their return to the estate.
A variety of cooking classes are offered for weekend guests, with up to six accomodated per session. The culinary treats at Orchard Lake are a delectable delight and much admired in the area, and are readily shared by Lynda for her special guests at the lake. To prepare for quantities, it is suggested that menu selections for cooking classes are called in ahead of time. Lynda invites all to come, cook, sample and indulge!
Corporate rates are available for long-term guests at Orchard Lake or for those guests who need extended accomodations such as sales reps, consultants or trainees.
For further information, contact Lynda Lovins at 573-624-2389 or write to Orchard Lake Bed and Breakfast at 11125 Cty. Rd. 637, Dexter, MO  63841. A stay at Orchard Lake is by reservation only.
